Carrot Cake Cream Cheese Frosting and Layer Filling

Delicious and easy! The quantity of frosting is enough for frosting and filling of two 9 inch cake pans. The cake is better on the second day.

Ingredients:

  • 16 oz Philadelphia cream cheese (2 packages of 8 oz each), softened
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 Tbsp  grated orange zest, or to taste
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 450 g Philadelphia cream cheese (2 packages of 225 g each), softened
  • 120 ml honey
  • 1 Tbsp  grated orange zest, or to taste
  • 120 ml heavy cream

Preparation:

Put cream cheese, honey and orange zest in a bowl of a stand mixer. Whip it on HIGH until smooth and light, about 1 to 2 minutes. Scrape the sides of the bowl and beat it again for 1-2 minutes longer.

Spread frosting on the bottom cake and top it with the top cake. Frost the top and enjoy it. This is the best and easiest frosting I have come across in ages.
